Compare the data before you subscribe

A regular VPN routes traffic out of mainland China, while a return accelerator does the opposite: it carries traffic from overseas users back into mainland China over optimised routes so they can use Chinese streaming, music and CN-server games. The route direction, node placement and tuning goals are different, so the two are rarely interchangeable.

The overall score is a weighted average of six dimensions: speed (25%), stability (25%), streaming unlock (15%), CN-server gaming (15%), trial experience (10%) and value (10%). The weight table is published on the rankings page. Test machines sit in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Japan/Korea, sampling at morning, peak evening and late-night windows, and we take the median rather than the best run.

Some products ship a free tier, such as QuickFox free plan or Transocks rate-limited lines. They are usable for browsing and music, but free lines are throttled and congested during peak hours, so high-bitrate video and competitive CN-server gaming will suffer. Use a free line to verify reachability first, then decide whether to pay.

Look at the gaming and stability scores rather than the ping number shown in the client. Competitive games are far more sensitive to jitter and packet loss than to average latency, so a stable 80 ms route often feels better than a 60 ms route that spikes. Always test during your own peak hours.

We do not recommend it. Line quality varies a lot by region, ISP and time of day, and a ranking can only describe median behaviour across our test locations. Start with a free trial or the shortest plan, test for a few days during the hours you actually use, and only then consider an annual commitment.

We re-test everything once per quarter and update the scores. If a product changes routes or policy significantly between cycles, we publish a note in the accelerator news section. The last update date is shown at the top of the rankings page, and past conclusions are never silently rewritten.
